We often put pressure on ourselves to remain the same weight year round. .

Putting on a few kgs over a festive period, or a time where life is stressful can feel like the end of the world. .

I’ve had a number of clients come in recently feeling frustrated about weight that’s crept on after Xmas, long weekends, Easter holidays, school holidays etc. etc. .
I just want to remind you that it’s okay to fluctuate, in fact it’s quite normal. .

Evolutionary wise, we are actually programmed to put on weight over summer, for fertility and to last the winter. .

Try to go easy on yourself. The months of Jan all the way to end of April are always going to be less settled, and it’s a good time now to just reflect. .

What memories were made? How did you feel? .

If your already starting to get back into a normal eating routine, less alcohol, social occasions etc. and starting to feeling better health wise, then trust that your body will adjust to where it needs to be. .
Depending on what you were doing before Xmas (e.g. 6 week shred program, low carb diet), how you are now might even be your healthiest weight. That’s perfectly okay. .

If your not feeling your best, and not happy with your food, alcohol and exercise situation , what steps would you need to take to get back there? .

Do you need to reasses your current schedule and priorities? .

Do you need some support? .

Or is life still hectic and now isn’t even the right time? .

You are not your weight, and your weight is allowed to fluctuate. 
Remove that pressure 🙏🏼 Much love 💕

H E L L O / d a r k n e s s. . . • • • Wonder if they’ll let me do this again. A relationship I tested for well over a year back in 2017 which involved BYO oats & protein powder {frozen berries in the bag} ordering multiple coffee’s back to back to sweeten the deal. ~ Yeah we are currently living using a strict nutrition plan. I realised pretty quickly within the 4 years training in the IFBB league that a physique doesn’t just happen. I’m even getting better at loosening the reigns to allow the treat foods in without turning into a landslide binge & purge episode {a roulette game I played for far too long}. • With sever restriction comes disordered eating and food obsession. Currently I don’t feel restricted but just disciplined as any athlete would practise if they aspire to be at a certain level. I know what I want takes discipline. • So here we are. Achieving a physique I used to dream of.. while being planned about what I consume to support that goal.. accountable to a coach; with weekends offering social occasions to enjoy freely without going nuts using my knowledge of how much to have. Funny thing is - the freedom will still have me choosing the traditional modest classics: Scrambled eggs on toast at brunch.
