ROGUE HAZELNUT BROWN NECTAR
Poco a poco aprendiendo y probando. #megustalacerveza#lovebeer#cervezas#degustandocervezas
Just tapped, @Czann’s Blonde, a light enjoyable beer that doesn’t taste watered down. Five different malts are used to create a full malt profile while keeping the beer dry and light. With two hop additions this beer has a pleasant clean finish.

Sometimes there seems to be a big divide between craft beer bars and traditional pubs. You know the type - old boozers that have hand-pulled real ale but the only thing you can get on keg or in the fridges is macro lager and cider. And that's a shame for anyone hankering for a new world beer because old pubs are typically cosy, full of character and interesting because of their history and architecture. A far cry from your craft bars with shelves, stools and a chipboard with a list of the latest DDH bangers on tap pinned to it (not that I don't love them)
I hope specialist craft bars continue to thrive. They're brilliant. But that divide between them and pubs doesn't need to be there - and it's slowly disappearing. Places like Merchants in #lancaster are testament to that - a 300-year-old venue where you eat and drink in historic stone cellars. Really atmospheric, friendly welcome...and then I see it. A list of craft cans to rival anywhere else. Cloudwater, Verdant etc
It just adds something to have a decent beer with your pub grub, especially when it's a surprise find like this was. And this Black Iris IPA, hopped with Citra, Amarillo and Motueka, went down a treat. Juicy and bittersweet with grapefruit and citrus notes in abundance. I also spotted a new microbrewery and tap in Lancaster - @accidentalbrewery - so the city definitely seems to be on the up for craft 👌
