MONDAYS 💩 - today was a bad gym day. If you've been following my recent videos you'll see I've been really working on my deadlifts, trying to beat my PB on the regular. This did not happen today 😐 • • • Sometimes you have a shit day - I couldn't lift the 160kg that I got last Monday and it ruined my whole session. Cut my workout short, didnt really do anything else after this. • • • I haven't slept well recently and this really shows today in how weak I felt. Sleep is crucial for strength training recovery and helps muscles to repair. HAD A CRAZY FRIDAY NIGHT? When should you Workout? Are you hungover? Are you confused whether you're hungover or not? I face this problem a lot, especially on Saturday! I've researched a lot on this, also spoken to various people (trainers, nutritionists, fitness enthusiasts). All have given inputs which were slightly different than the other, the moot point being the same? So, ideally you should take the next day off (ideally only) and I generally do take the next day off (it is highly subjective). On the next day, usually you're dehydrated to the core, and if youre working out, it may lead to muscle fatigue, cramps and injuries. You may experience a heavy head (which I face sometimes), so intense workout may be a problem sometimes. I've faced this predicament quite a lot of times. However, to be honest, I've worked out the next day after getting drunk the night before, and I've worked out with the same Intensity like always. It just depends, it's just how you feel. Next day mantra: Have a lot of water, ideally double the normal intake, Na-Real pani being a must, Have a juice or something. Eat good food and get back the next day with a bang. Again, there is no straight jacket formula, it's just how you feel, but you should workout when you feel 💯 percent. So drink hard, Party harder and workout hardest.
