I don't generally get sucked into the whole Black Friday, Cyber Monday, New Year new you shenanigans.

It doesn't feel right inside me.

Yet here I was racing to get to a stupid as heck finish line.

And it was whacking me about.

4.30am this morning I woke with a start, and a stop.

And I realised it was ok to slow it down.

To go my own pace.
.
To make things happen on my timeline.

I feel like I can breathe again.

Yay.

I might celebrate with a donut. 🙅🏻

I often hear ladies speak about tryin to find time for their biz.

And feeling pressured there isn't enough time.

Time is what it is.

And will never change.

And I know you're busy as heck.

But if you take off the pressure of rushing against time.

And it takes you a little more time to get there.

That's ok.

You're not in a race.

Basil Pesto Gnocchi 💚 Made with fresh basil pesto and served with some grilled king oyster mushrooms! In a medium-sized pan, add gnocchi and olive oil. Cook on medium-low for about 10 minutes. ⁣ 2. Remove gnocchi from the pan. ⁣ 3. Mix in your Homemade Basil Pesto in with your gnocchi ⁣ 4. Getting ready for a late night workout. I’m typically at the gym at 6am but today was super busy so this is my first opportunity for me to go. Do I want to go? Fuck no. 5) eat a clean diet. Why add more toxins to your body than you are already inhaling? Eat lots of greens as they are full of antioxidants and will help your body to get rid of toxins.⁣
6) drink lots of water (2-3 litres/day) as this helps to flush out toxins.⁣

Tonight’s meal engaged all five senses and maaaaan- was it a memorable experience... so much so that I wanted to share the recipe!

This lovely Elk Pizzaiola on Spaghetti Squash is a delicious alternative to spaghetti and red sauce; it’s packed full of flavor, is loaded with incredible nutrients and does wonders for your body (aaaand taste buds I might add 😉). 🥫🍃🍅
Pizzaiola is a delightfully flavorful Italian sauce made up of tomatoes and oregano. When you simmer this with local grassfed ground elk, you are definitely hitting the jackpot!
Vitamins A, B, B12, C and K; iron; zinc; riboflavin; niacin; phosphorus; lycopene; omega-3 fats... those are just some of the amazing vitamins and minerals you take in when enjoying this fare... brain, heart and gut health benefit.

Доброе утро ☀️ Сегодня будет бомбический рецепт панкейков на банановой муке с голубой матчей 🔥 Если пост вам полезен или просто симпатичен 😉ставьте лайки❤️делайте репосты 🌷 Нам понадобиться : ✔Банановая мука- 170гр ( можно рисовую) ✔️Кукурузный крахмал - 25 гр ✔️Яйцо - 1 шт ✔️Молоко - 100 гр ✔️Сода-1/4 ч.л ✔️Подсластитель ✔️голубая матча -1/2 ч.л Готовим : Желток взбить с подсластителем , добавить муку, крахмал ,соду,матчу и снова взбить.Белок отдельно взбить до устойчивых пиков , добавить в основную массу и тщательно перемешать. Most days. I track my food intake to keep me in shape because, the structure feels good & it's nice knowing that a certain amount of food I eat, makes me look a certain way 🙏⁣ ⁣ But today, I felt a very sudden impulse to make banana bread. Can confirm that I'm a domestic goddess 🤣🍞🍌🍪⁣ ⁣ But seriously. Today is a random day I'm not tracking, just because.⁣ ⁣ Imagine if I was on a strict fad-diet. Imagine if I had an obsessive relationship with food & my body.⁣ Imagine if I felt guilty for wanting/making/eating this.⁣ ⁣ It would ruin my diet, make me binge out, self-sabotage, lose balance & make me feel like a horrible human.⁣ ⁣ ☹ THIS IS WHAT ALL THOSE FAD-DIETS + POOR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR BOD/FOOD IS DOING TO YOU ☹⁣ ⁣ Overcoming this starts in your mind. Chronic stress causes:
❌ Decreased nutrient absorption
❌ Decreased oxygenation to the gut
❌ As high as 4 times less blood flow to the digestive system, leading to decreased metabolism
❌ Decreased enzyme production- up to 20,000-fold- to help break down food

Have you been sick yet this season? So far I have avoided the cold and flu bugs that are more prevalent these dark days. I hope to continue this streak so I’ve been looking into how I can make that happen.

I do lots of things as part of my regular self-care routine that help me keep my immune system super strong. I take a blend of adaptogens daily that has chaga, astralagus and reishi to boost my immune response. I take vitamins like vitamin C & D, plus zinc to keep my immune system operating at max capacity. Did you know that regular exercise is also key to keeping your immune system in top shape?

Not only that but it has the added benefit of elevating your mood by stimulating the release of happy hormones. A brisk walk or run, skating or skiing, hitting the gym or taking a yoga class (or maybe hiring a teacher to come to you) 🙋🏻‍♀️ try to get about three hours at least per week! I walk with Ginger everyday and I try to hit the gym 2-3 times per week, and of course yoga daily or every other day.

Yoga, and meditation (which I also teach), are also key as part of stress management which is also important for immunity. The deep breathing and mindfulness training, coupled with physical movement helps you release anxiety and tension that is weighing you down.

When running out the door & you realize you haven’t eaten & you are hungry! What can you throw together super quick? So thankful for bagged salad (cabbage mix is my favorite)! I mixed cabbage & kale. Opened a can of wild Alaskan salmon, dumped it in! Added already cut cucumbers & mushrooms & topped with pumpkin seeds & goji berries! Out the door with my favorite to go containers & a fork!
