Cowtail stingray (শংকর মাছ). I’m unsure about the conservation status of this right now so expecting possible abuse, although they are sold rather openly in markets around Kolkata. All stingrays can be potentially lethal, so Bengalis cook and eat them like they do with most of their problems. Usually not bought by upper caste Hindus because it used to be cheap and primarily had associations with working class and lower class families. I say used to be because they are now around 300-400 rupees a kilo although prices do still vary. Many families have probably never even tasted it, most don’t consider it fish. Doesn’t have bones like other freshwater fish, has a network of cartilages instead - imagine if the fish were cheese the bones are like the crackers attached. My enduring memory of this will always be my grandmother cooking it when I was a child, only for me and our German Shepard Pinkie because no one else wanted to eat it
We’ll be out there at Snowball this weekend and selling limited supply of Prime brisket. Minimum order is 4lbs. Let me know if you want one Saturday morning right off the smoker!

Wanna feel SUPER today? @superchix_americanfork is having their grand opening today and I guarantee that it’ll make your Friday super! We tried the breaded Bacavo burger (bacon ranch avocado), the grilled Deluxe sandwich w/avocado, the Cajun fries, the Rosemary Pepper fries, the Dutch Chocolate Frozen Custard, and the Mint Oreo Cold Fusion and we loved ALL of it. My favorite combination was probably the Bacavo Sandwich with Rosemary Pepper fries and a Mint Oreo Cold Fusion 😋 The chicken was sooo dreamy and look at the size of the avocado on that thing! The fries were not too over seasoned which I’ve seen at a lot of other places, and OH MY SAUCES. THEY HAVE SO MANY! We didn’t even get to try them all but we loved the signature sauce. I also ended up taking home some chicken strips and Strawberry Cheesecakes Frozen Custard, so I’m excited to have those for lunch! A very warm welcome to Super Chix from Texas to their very first Utah location 👏🏽🤤 .
The Secret to Turmeric🤫
Turmeric is a yummy yellow/orange spice that has many medicinal properties. 🧡💛 The active ingredient that makes this spice so healthy is called 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧 —> which has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-fungal properties
Curcumin is not absorbed very well in the body😒

❖ Black pepper…
◆ Black pepper contains a bioactive compound called 𝐩𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞, which helps boost the absorption of curcumin in the body (by ~2000%‼️)
➜ Piperine helps curcumin pass through the intestinal wall so it can enter the blood stream. It also slows down the breakdown of curcumin in the liver —> increasing blood levels.🙇🏼♀️
