In case you didnt already know, I do favour a no carb breakfast and there are a multitude of reasons for this other than my personal reasons with PCOS.
In my years of coaching individuals, I've also heard similar feedback also 🙌😁
1. Sustained energy and no mid morning munchie sugar cravings. HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE A LARGE BOWL OF CEREAL FOR BREAKFAST BUT COME 10AM YOU'RE ENERGY IS LOW AND YOU START LOOKING FOR SNACKS??
Reason: simply put when we wake up, we are in a natural fasted fat burning mode because you were sleeping and presumably not eating!. If you feed the body only protein and fat, ie not cereal or toast, this state in the body remains and we dont have any change in blood sugar levels that leave us feeling tired and looking for sugar at 10am.
2. Continued fat burning for longer as you dont break the fat burning cycle produced while you were asleep.
3. Improved insulin sensitivity. If you are already overweight, let's assume you have less than ideal insulin sensitivity in the body meaning when you eat carbs, your body doesn't absorb and deal with them as well as somebody who is not over weight. (More likely to store as fat). Leave carbs out of some meals to get your body to be better at dealing with carbs when you do have them. (THIS DOES NOT MEAN CARBS ARE "BAD"). Want more info?
