First exercise every beginning artist should do to understand colors!🎨👩🏻🎨⠀
A while ago I was explaining the Color Theorie here on Instagram (#jh_tutorials_color). In the meantime, I was obseving my Skillshare students and other beginning artists, and I realized that most of them don't really understand why the color theory is so important and have no idea how to use it in practice. So, I decided to make my tutorials more practical - less terms, more visual stuff. There is just one condition for good understanding - you really have to try it out yourself! So, let's start...⠀
Everything begins with only three colors - yellow 💛, red ❤️ and blue 💙. We call them primary colors.⠀
❇️ These colors can not be created from other colors;⠀
❇️ ALL colors can be made by mixing the primary colors;⠀
❇️ When you mix two primary colors, the mixed color is a secondary color (swipe to watch how I mix primary colors and try to do the same);⠀
❇️ When you mix all the three primary colors in the same proportions, the mixed color should be black, but it's actually brown.⠀
If you are a beginning artist who is going to work with colors (no matter what medium you use - watercolor, acrylic paint, gouache or colored pencils, etc.), first thing you need to do, is to pick these 3 primary colors and try to mix them in different ways and proportions. Try, for instance, to add more blue to the blue+red mix, and look how the color will change. ⠀
I think you have noticed that when you buy a set of watercolors, gouache or other mediums, there are always two different reds, two yellows and two reds. Next Friday, we are going to look if it makes a difference whenever we use one or another in a mix.⠀
Have a lovely creative weekend, guys, and don't forget to save this post!😉♥️⠀

Let me introduce you to my artistic mind.
I’m driven by passion.
Seized by obsession.
Delighted by creation.
Enthralled with expression.
Entranced by vision.
Diverted by daydreams.
Filled with emotion.
Fueled by compulsion.
Consumed with beauty,
And blindsided by inspiration. .
Welcome to my mind.
Enjoy my initial sketch of a Video-Timelapse I made just about few days ago and in the next post I will share with you a complete drawing with all the intricate details that took another several hours to fill. .
It took just about 50 minutes to make the initial sketch, and another 2 hours to fill in the details. I used Canson Mix Media paper 7x10 and Micron by Sakura pigment ink pen to create this.
