I love farms 💕 It's been too long since we lived on a farm, so I'm really enjoying the view tonight as the sun sets over the barley. Back in Esperance again. My new favourite place! Slighty different view this time though 🥰
It was a gorgeous Wisconsin sunrise this morning. I had an early one: sprinting from La Crosse to Madison for a 9AM meeting. Then is was back on the road home. All in a day’s work, and it reminded me of the old consulting days! It was a great day for a drive, and I got to do a lot more of thinking about steps forward. +
When I got home, I went for a solid walk with Julie and Karma the Wonder Dog, and then I had a great conversation with my friend Dan Bokros from Ohio. It was nice to catch up, my friend! +
News from Around the Bend will be out this weekend. It has been a busy week on the road, and I am going to reload this weekend.
Here are just a few of our speakers from Thursday’s session. We’re so grateful for all of your support in making this year’s Annual Meeting a great success!! In order... Part of my childhood was spent in this beautiful homestead, an amazing countryside refuge with 830 hectares of area located at the outskirts of Alcochete, less than half an hour from Lisbon. The property has become famous for Lusitano horse breeding, the breed of wild bulls, extraordinary agricultural fields with rice, corn crops and vast natural pastures, apart from the incredible abundance of birds, the dense cork oak and pine tree forest and beautiful lagoons like this one, which is placed at the so-called Santo Antonio Valley and is the biggest and most unique. That small building on an island in the middle of the water was an ancient hermitage chapel dated from the 13th Century. Around this lake, you can normally see huge herds of cows feeding upon the fabulous grass that grows on its shores year-round. It's truly a magical place from which I have some of my best childhood memories... It was very emotional coming back to this part of the property joined by its very owner, an incredible 88-year-old man with an unbelievable life story that I affectionately used to call "uncle", even though he's not actually family. I love this place, and I hope I can keep visiting it for many years...
