Just in our small circle, the number of friends we’ve lost over the past 3 years has hit double digits... Great warriors who did great things that few will know about...
They didn’t look for recognition, sympathy, or a handout...
They ended their battles on home soil, alone and in most cases, simply in need of a CONNECTION, a shoulder to lean on during tough times, an understanding corner, where they felt a sense of belonging and could bear or learn to overcome the struggles we all face…
They are terribly missed by their children, spouses, families, communities, and teammates…
The fact is that we all know a fellow warrior in need of this connection…
It’s high time we take ownership of our community’s needs to prevent further tragedy...
As Americans and fellow warriors we OWE our help to those struggling...
Great things are coming soon to start turning things around!

This is the second year in a row that I’ve attended a military/law enforcement funeral service of some sort during the holidays, and it’s honestly humbling.
It breaks my heart to think of what it means for these families during this holiday season, and for every season upcoming. I know there’s nothing that will truly bring ease to that but I hope they find some comfort in knowing that their family members died doing something that they loved selflessly.
Consider taking some time to give back to your community this season in whatever way is meaningful to YOU. I haven’t decided what that will be for me yet, but every small thing matters. Make your friends lunch. Bring coffee in to work. Pet a stray dog (let a stray dog into your house?). Literally anything 🖤 #LFG#naspensacola#usnavy#usaf#airforce#holidayseason

On 22 August 2015, an ex-military Hawker Hunter, crashed during a display at the Shoreham Airshow in southern England. It killed 11 people and injured 16 others. It was the deadliest air show accident in the United Kingdom since the 1952 Farnborough Airshow crash, which killed 31 people.
Hill, the pilot, was thrown clear of the aircraft in his ejection seat. He survived the crash with serious injuries. He was flown to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in nearby Brighton; his condition was described as critical and he was said to be fighting for his life. He was subsequently placed in a medically-induced coma. He was released from hospital in September 2015.
The official investigation by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch concluded that the crash resulted from pilot error. In 2018, Hill was charged with eleven counts of manslaughter by gross negligence and one count of endangering an aircraft. He was found not guilty on all counts on 8 March 2019. The organisers of the Shoreham Airshow denied any responsibility for the crash.
